Head for Portugal’s sunny coast for a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and some of the best beaches in Europe. The coastline is just fantastic – long stretches of golden sand, which shelve gently into refreshing seas and secluded bays framed by red sandstone cliffs. As a change from the beach treat the family to a day at one of the water parks along the coast – the flumes are the best we’ve seen! Don’t leave without heading inland to browse around the sleepy towns and villages. Check out the castle at Silves, the craft market at Monchique. The Algarve is ideal for a family holiday, there’s plenty to see and do – and plenty of opportunity to relax and do nothing!
